Hair Reduction · 5 min read
Timing, technique, and the one mistake that quietly kills the result for most customers.
The Window
Apply Cyperus several hours after waxing — not immediately. Waxed skin is briefly inflamed, the follicles are wide open, and any oil applied in that moment can sting or cause sensitivity. The correct window is four to six hours later, once the skin has cooled and the redness has settled. Some customers prefer to wait until that night.
The Application
Three to five drops, depending on the area. Warm between fingertips. Massage in slow circles into the waxed zone until the oil is absorbed — usually one to two minutes. Layer Jojoba on top if your skin runs dry, or if you're working a large area like the legs.
The Mistake That Kills It
Stopping too early. Most customers apply Cyperus for a few weeks, see no dramatic change in regrowth, and quietly let the bottle sit on the shelf. Cyperus works on the follicle cycle, not the skin's surface. The honest timeline is 3 to 6 months — weeks 1–4 build the foundation, weeks 4–8 deliver the first refined cycle, and months 3–6 are where visible reduction lives. Skip nights and the cycle resets. The customers who stay see it. The customers who drift away come back later — they always do.
What To Expect In The First 8 Weeks
Weeks 1–4: apply daily, evening only, on clean dry skin. The skin softens and post-removal irritation settles. You will not see less hair yet — that's the point of the phase. Weeks 4–8: continue without skipping a single night. The first cycle of refined regrowth arrives — finer, softer, a touch slower. From there, you're on the path to the 3–6 month result.
