Hair Reduction · 4 min read
The texture difference between the two methods changes how Cyperus should be applied — and most customers don't realise it.
The Texture Difference
Sugaring lifts the hair in the direction of growth and is gentler on the follicle. Waxing pulls against the direction of growth and is more aggressive. The result: sugared skin is generally calmer post-removal, while waxed skin may stay red for longer. Cyperus respects this difference.
Sugaring Protocol
Wait 2–3 hours after sugaring. Apply 3 drops of Cyperus to the area. Massage until absorbed. Because the follicle is less inflamed, the oil can be applied earlier and more liberally.
Waxing Protocol
Wait 4–6 hours after waxing. Apply 3–5 drops, layered with 5 drops of Jojoba. The Jojoba softens any residual sensitivity; the Cyperus does the long-term refinement work. From day 2 onward, you can drop the Jojoba layer.
The Sensitive Skin Note
For customers with reactive skin, the Cleopatra Recovery Ritual — Moroccan Glove pre-removal, Aloe Vera Gel immediately after, Cyperus 24 hours later — is the gentlest entry path regardless of method.
